  • Antique Japanese Kurume Kasuri Fabric Boro Scarf This beautiful lightweight indigo patterned scarf has been made from antique Japanese woven momen fabric called Kurume kasuri, which was used for making kimonos and yukatas. She told the seashell her story,

whispering every secret her memories held.

Then she laid the shell at the ocean's edge

and watched the tide pick it up

and carry it out to sea...

A fragment of ocean, gilded and inscribed, the natural iridescence of the shell catches light, while the hand drawn script spirals across it's surface like the sea's own handwriting.

Every shell is a letter unsent, waiting for someone to read.
